now you have no excuse
When you have so many things on your to-do list, it’s easy to write off your workout. It may seem as a waste of time but researches have shown that exercise can boost your productivity, fend off weight gain, and most importantly help with STRESS. Try these tips to move more, when regularly scheduled workout is out of question.
If you have zero time,
1_ Stand up: the small changes are the ones that make the difference. Purchasing a standing desk (not necessary) can be an extra motive for you to Stand up throughout the day, which means crossing off your exercise off the list and as so many researches have confirmed boosting your productivity.
2_ Take the stairs: We’ve all heard the benefits of taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Everything you’ve heard is true.
3_ Walk: Likewise, getting off the bus or subway a stop or two before your destination on a regular basis adds up to a lot of heart-healthy walking…
4_Find the high-energy items on your to-do list and tackle these when you need physical activity. Think about washing the car, digging the garden, mowing the lawn, or reorganizing a closet, shopping.
5_Srink water: Just because you’ve heard it so many times doesn’t mean you are doing. Drinking more water will help your body lose the extra water that bloat you and so many other good things, so go ahead and chug water.
6_Walk while you wait: If you find yourself in a situation where you have to wait for someone something, the bus, elevator, appointment… Walk around it is a good exercise and its wait better than just standing.
7_ Double: take your breaks outdoors and have a brisk, short walk. You’ll also improve your focus and mood. Walk while emailing, texting, calling…
If you have more than five minutes,
8_ Set your Alarm: Wake up 15min earlier than you have to and break a sweat, it will count as a workout and you will start your day way better (TRY IT).
9_ Go out with your children for a walk, maybe your dog if you have one or even by yourself, it will also help you clear your mind and breath some fresh air.
10_ Dance: Yes, you heard it right, dancing while getting ready or making dinner it’s a great workout (tested!).
I know, that it is easier to just forget about it and focus on your job/studies, life in general. But, as I mentioned before, even if the changes are small they count and trust me you will thank yourself later on in life. Just try cooperate exercising with everything you do and DRINK MORE WATER.
